OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: from the Official Tae Kwon-Do Hall of Fame

I am pleased and honored to announce that GM Hwang Kwang-Sung is to be Inducted into the Official Tae Kwon-Do Hall of Fame, recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his dedication and contribution to the proliferation of Tae Kwon-Do across the USA and globally.

GM Hwang who hails from Manchester, Connecticut has provided the ITF and Tae Kwon-Do with the highest level of instruction during his many years of teaching, as his vast number of students from across America can attest to.
​
GM Hwang was the Founder & President of KATU (which was an authorized ITF organization in the USA dedicated to providing seminars and tournaments to its vast membership). He, GM Hwang was the first Korean living in the USA to be awarded with the prestigious 9th dan by General Choi Hong-Hi. being one of the relatively few Grand Masters to have been promoted to IX Dan by General Choi during his lifetime.
As the North American Director, for the Official Tae Kwon-Do Hall of Fame (ITF affiliates) it is my esteemed honor to make this announcement today on this 28th day of March 2021.

Me complace y me siento honrado de anunciar que el GM Hwang Kwang Sung será incluido en el Salón de la Fama oficial de Tae Kwon-Do, reconocido con el premio a toda una vida por su dedicación y contribución a la proliferación de Tae Kwon-Do en los Ee.UU. y a nivel mundial. GM Hwang, oriundo de Manchester, Connecticut, ha proporcionado a la ITF y Tae Kwon-Do el más alto nivel de instrucción durante sus muchos años de enseñanza, es su gran número de estudiantes de todo Estados Unidos puede dar fe.
