With profound sadness we announce that Grand Master Hwang Kwang Sung, K-9-1, passed away peacefully in the early hours of December 29th. Grand Master Hwang was a Taekwon-Do pioneer, he was dedicated to the preservation of General Choi’s Legacy, and he was the founder of the UITF, but most notably he was a true humanitarian and humbly dedicated to the service of others throughout the world. More than a leader, Grand Master Hwang was a mentor, friend, felt like family to thousands, and like a father to many of us. ​The organization is committed to carrying forward Grand Master Hwang’s vision and an executive committee that he had appointed, will oversee operations to ensure that UITF work continues without interruption. We extend our deepest sympathies to Grand Master Hwang’s family and loved ones. We will share details regarding memorial services as they become available.

The Unified-ITF is an "all-inclusive" unification of ITF practitioners dedicated to preserving General Choi, Hong Hi's legacy and teachings. We believe no matter which ITF organization one belongs, ITF practitioners are still one with our Founder's Taekwon-Do!

Although Unified-ITF Leadership will never ask, encourage or promote any site member to leave their current ITF Organization, if you find yourself without representation, we are here for you. Earn qualified certifications such as Class A, B or C Umpire, International Instructor, and authentic promotions from Master & Grandmaster students of an original Grandmaster.
