Unified-ITF is the first "all-inclusive" unification of International Taekwon-Do Federation, ITF practitioners striving to protect and preserve General Choi's legacy. We provide not only ITF organizational support, but also a global platform for like-minded ITF practitioners. We are Unified!

Unified-ITF was founded by Grandmaster Hwang Kwang Sung, K-9-1. Originally known as KATU (KoreAmerican Taekwon-Do Union), a special authorization by General Choi himself at a time when each country was assigned one head of the original ITF.

Grandmaster Hwang Kwang Sung served as Special Assistant to General Choi Hong Hi, he was the Official Spokesman of the original ITF, and he served as Chairman of the ITF Promotion and Merger Committees as well as Secretary General of the original ITF.  Grandmaster Hwang Kwang Sung is diligent in his preservation of General Choi Hong Hi's art & legacy. His efforts are immeasurable in this lifelong quest.
